Once you publish the data, a database connection is automatically created in the Sigma Studio in the name of _IMPORT_CONNECTION_. All the successive data that you import are created as data sources under this default connection.

You cannot edit or modify the configurations of this imported connection and its .

  1. Hover the mouse on the imported connection and click the Data Source Image Added icon.

  2. In the Create Datasource screen, provide the necessary details to configure the data source.

And a corresponding data source is created for the new connection with a table name appended with the string _DS.

    The excel sheet which had been imported using the Excel Import option in Studio will have a prefix of imp. Let's assume that the imported excel sheet file name is Card Summary and the Object Name lookup field lists the tables of the schema based on the provided search results. On making use of the imp prefix, the imported excel sheet in the form of a table will get listed in the Object Name field and this imported table should be selected to create the data source.

    1. Select the required data columns from the Column IDs drop-down list.
    2. Once you configure the data source, you can then proceed to click Save to save the data source.
