To create On the Role Mapping screen in Sigma Studio, you can create an entitlement using the Product, Sub-Product and Function Codes. Refer the following sections:

To create an entitlement, perform the following steps in Sigma Studio:

  1. On the home page of Sigma Studio, click Create Manage > Entitlement Role Mapping.

  2. Click  icon, adjacent to the Product Code drop-down list.

    The Entitlement Mapping window screen appears.

  3. Click  icon, adjacent to the Select Product drop-down list.

    The Product Sub Product Master window screen appears.

  4. Enter the appropriate Product Code in the Product Code field, e.g. CTUSER.
    1. Enter the appropriate Sub Product Code in the Sub Product Code field, e.g. CTUSER.

  5. Click Save.

    Product and Sub Product Codes cannot be modified or deleted.

    Warning

    When you try to exit the Product Sub Product Master screen, before saving the configured product and sub product codes, a warning pop-up message appears, as shown in the following screen shot:

    • Click Cancel, if you do not want to exit the Product Sub Product Master screen.
    • Click Ok, if you want to exit the Product Sub Product Master screen.

    A confirmation message appears, indicating a successful save.



  6. Click Ok.
  7. On the Entitlement Mapping page screen, click  icon, adjacent to the Select Function drop-down list.

    The Function Master window screen appears.

  8. Enter the appropriate Function code in the Function code field, e.g. VISIBILITY.
    1. Proceed to click Save.

    Warning

    When you try to exit the Function Master screen, before saving the configured function code, a warning pop-up message appears, as shown in the following screen shot:

  9. Click Ok.
  10. On the Entitlement Mapping page screen, click the Select Product drop-down list and select CTUSER.

  11. Click the Select Sub Product drop-down list and select CTUSER.

  12. Click the Select Function drop-down list and select VISIBILITY.

  13. To save the entitlement mapping, click Save.

    The mapped entitlements can be used in accordance with the requirements of the user, while creating reports, apps, workspaces (dashboards) and layouts (sub-workspaces). However, the mapped entitlements cannot be modified or deleted.

  14. Click Ok.

Deleting an Entitlement

To delete an entitlement, perform the following steps in Sigma Studio:

  1. On the Entitlement Mapping screen, select the mapped entitlement combination of the Product, Sub-Product and Function Codes (e.g. SRPRODUCT, SRSUBPRODUCT, SRFUNCTION).
    1. Right-click the listed mapped entitlement combination (e.g. SRPRODUCT, SRSUBPRODUCT, SRFUNCTION) and select the Delete option to delete the chosen mapped entitlements.

  2. Click Ok.
    A toast message, indicating a successful deletion of the entitlement mapping, appears.

Deleting Product and Sub-Product Codes

To delete the Product and Sub-Product Codes, perform the following steps in Sigma Studio:

  1. To individually delete the Product and Sub Product Codes, click the Image Added icon, adjacent to the Select Product Code drop-down list.

    1. On the Product Sub Product Master screen, right-click the Product and Sub-Product Code combination (e.g. SRPRODUCT, SRSUBPRODUCT) of your choice and select the Delete option.

      A confirmation message, indicating the deletion of the selected Product and Sub Product Code combination (e.g. SRPRODUCT, SRSUBPRODUCT) , appears.

    2. Click Ok.
      A toast message, indicating a successful deletion of the mapped entitlements, appears.

Deleting a Function Code

To delete a Function Code, perform the following steps in Sigma Studio:

  1. On the Entitlement Mapping screen, click the Image Added icon, adjacent to the Select Function Code drop-down list.

    1. On the Product Sub Product Master screen, right-click the Function Code(e.g. SRFUNCTIONof your choice and select the Delete option.

      Note

      You cannot delete the Function Code, which is already mapped to the Product and Sub Product Code combination in the form of an Entitlement Mapping.
