Canvas Sigma now enables you to connect with FTP servers for secured transfer of files (CSV, PDF, XLS, XSLX DOCX, HTML, XML and TXT formats). The user can transfer as well as receive files from the FTP server in a secured manner. You can easily connect to FTP servers and perform actions like sending and receiving files with the limited configuration steps.

To create FTP connections, make sure to copy all the JAR files from the following location folder in the CT Sigma platform binary :

package

  • ..\Supporting_Jars\Camel_Jars\FTP_Jars

And place those files in your application WAR files on the app or web server. For example, <Tomcat-Installed-Folder>\webapps\ctmodelhousesigma\WEB-INF\lib folder in the above mentioned path.

Perform the following steps to create a an FTP server connection in Canvas Sigma Studio:

  1. In Canvas On the home page of Sigma Studio, click Create Manage > ConnectorsConnection.

    The Connectors Create New Connection page appears, as shown in the following screenshot:

  2. Click the OTHERS and select the FTP option.

  3. Enter a unique name for the connection in Connection Name field. Here, NEW FTP _ CONNECTION is provided as the connection nameConnection Name.

  4. Provide a valid user name for the FTP connection in Username field if required. In this example, ubuntu is SIR18870 is given as the user nameUsername.

  5. Provide the host name of the FTP server in Hostname field. In this example, 5210.7711.3510.131 is 13 is given as the host nameHostname.

  6. Enter the port number of the FTP server in Port field. In this example, 22 is given as the port Port number.

    Note

    You can also provide the private key, key pair and password credentials on the respective fields to ensure increased security.

    Tip

    Alternatively, you can also drag and drop or upload the private key file to provide the keys information in encrypted manner.

    Click Submit to save the connection.



    Warning

    When you try to exit the Connectors screen, before saving the configured FTP connection, a warning pop-up message appears, as shown in the following screen shot:

    • Click Cancel, if you do not want to exit the Connectors screen.
    • Click Ok, if you want to exit the Connectors screen.

  8. Click Ok.
