Anchor_Workspace_Configuration_1_Workspace_Configuration_1Workspace is the top most container of the application within the browser. It acts as a bucket that holds the sub-workspaces and apps, also enables to organize them in a customized representation. In the new Workspace Designer in Canvas 18.1most of the configurations are either auto-populated or appear as smart look up fields. The configuration steps have changed when compared to the previous Workspace configuration screens.
Benefits of Workspace Designer:

1. Auto-population and smart-lookups of major configurations results in minimal clicks for workspace creation.
   
   
2. Configure Workspace Menu at different regions (left, center & right) in a workspace.
   
   
3. Drag and drop the following Workspace components: 
   1. Sub-workspace
   2. App positions within a sub-workspace.
   3. Apps can be moved across sub-workspaces in a Workspace.
   4. Workspace Menus at desired regions.
      
      
4. Preview the layout of sub-workspaces and apps.
   
   
5. Change the column size of the app layouts by adjusting the column split bars.
