On the home page of Sigma Studio, click Manage > Application User.
Note Before you create an application user in Sigma Studio, you must have already created a corporate customer or client. For detailed information on creating corporate customers or clients in Sigma Studio, refer Creating Corporate Customers.
The Application User page screen appears.
Enter a unique and appropriate ID of the application user in the User Id field, e.g. cstappuser.
Note No blank spaces and special characters should be used in the User Id field. However, you can make use of the underscore symbol.
- Enter the nickname of the application user in the Nick Name field.
- Enter the first name of the application user in the First Name field.
- Enter the last name of the application user in the Last Name field.
Select the Birth Date of the application user from the Birth Date field.
Note In the Birth Date field, you can directly enter the Birth Date of the application user in the MM/DD/YYYY format, e.g. 01/05/1996, which indicates 5th January, 1996.
- Click the Client lookup field and select the appropriate corporate customer or client, e.g. cst.
Click the Role drop-down list and select an appropriate user role for the application user, e.g. SIGMAGRP.
Note It is essential that you select the SIGMAGRP Role for enabling the Application User to access the Sigma Application.
- Enter the accurate mobile number of the application user in the Mobile Number field.
Select the expiry date of the application user account in the Expiry Date field.
Note On the selected expiry date, the application user account will get expired. The default password for a newly created application user is the first four letters of the provided User Id and the Birth Date in DD/MM/YYYY format.
- Select the appropriate time zone of the application user's time zone from the Time Zone drop-down list.
- Select the relevant language from the Language drop-down list.
- Provide the email address of the application user in the Email Id field.
Click the Save icon to save the created application user.
Warning When you try to exit the Application User screen, before saving the application user details, a warning pop-up message appears, as shown in the following screen shot:
- Click Cancel, if you do not want to exit the Application User screen.
- Click Ok, if you want to exit the Application User screen.
A confirmation message, indicating the successful creation of the customer application user appears.- Click Ok.
- Once you create the application user, you can proceed to create database connections and data sources to fetch your business data. For detailed information on creating database connections and data sources in Sigma Studio, refer Creating DB Connection and Data Source.
- With the configured data sources, you can then proceed to create reports based on your needs and requirements. For detailed information on creating reports in Sigma Studio, refer Configuring Reports.
- Once you configure reports in Sigma Studio, you must create solution packages for the different corporate customers to enable them to access only those specific reports for which they are entitled and thereby ensuring that the corporate customers will be able to access only those specific reports, which have been added to the relevant solution package.
