Adding Logo or Image to Reports
Canvas enables you to add logos or images as report's page header or footer by configuring the template designer settings while creating the report in Canvas Studio.
For instance, the following screenshot shows a simple report, Account Statement with a logo image appearing on the page header:
Perform the following additional steps in order to configure images to the report as shown on the screenshot:
- Create a new report by clicking Create > Report OR open existing report by clicking Information Report on left-navigation, right-clicking on a report and clicking Edit Report.
- On the Information Report screen, click Template Designer icon while configuring the report in Canvas Studio.
The Template Designer page appears with the list of header and footer options on the left-hand side of the page and the list of layout tabs on the right-hand side of the page.
- Select Page Header or Page Footer option from the list of fields on the left-hand side of the page. In this example, Page Header field is selected.
Note:
By default, the page header and footer options will be are disabled. You need toggle on the required options and then proceed.
- Select the Image layout ( ) tab on the right-hand side of the page.
A list of existing uploaded images along with the Add Image button appears on this tab.
- Click Add Image to upload a new image.
A window pops up as shown in the following screenshot:
- The fields from File tab appears as default. You can either select the URL tab to mention the image URL instead or retain the same option. In this example, the File tab is retained.
- Click Browse Files to open up file wizard and choose the image that you need to upload. You can also select more than one image to be uploaded.
Note:
You can also drag and drop files in the file upload panel directly.
- Click Add Image to add the uploaded image(s).
- Drag and drop the required image(s) from the list to the design area.
- Click Save icon to save the template designer.
- Proceed with the other configurations for the report. Refer Configuring a Simple Report for more information on configuring a simple report.
The following screenshot shows the generated Account Statement report with the configured image on the page header:
