To create a complex report with charts as shown in the screenshot, configure the additional steps in Sigma Studio:
Click Template Designer icon while configuring the complex report in Sigma Studio.
The Template Designer screen appears with the list of header and footer options on the left-hand side and the list of layout tabs on the right-hand side.The Template Designer feature is only applicable for PDF format.
- Select the type of field from the left-hand side. In this example, the Report Header field is selected.
- Select the chart layout () tab on the right-hand side. A list of existing chart apps appears on this tab.
- Drag and drop the created chart app (e.g. Transaction Details App) into the design area.
- Click the chart app. A Parent Child Mapping window appears. This window enables you to map the key parent and the child columns through which the columns will be linked and provides the matching data on the report.
- Select the parent and the child (key) columns from Parent Column and Child Column fields. In this example, ACCOUNT_NO from the data source aggregator (DB_BUILDER) and ACCOUNT_NO from the chart app (Transaction Details App) are selected as the parent and the child column respectively.
Click the Chart Properties to configure the additional properties of the chart app. In the Width and Height fields, you can specify the width and height of the chart respectively as per your needs and requirements.
It is essential that the width and the height of the chart are specified in pixels. In the provided instance, the width of the chart is specified as 400 pixels, whereas the height of the chart is specified as 600 pixels.
- Click Save to save the configured Parent Child mapping and the specified Chart Properties respectively.
- On the Template Designer screen, click Save icon to save the template designer configurations.
- Proceed with the other configurations for the report. Refer Configuring a Complex Report – Sample 1 for more information on configuring a complex report.
