Sigma enables you to display the values from widgets (apps) as report filters by configuring the Linked Widget settings in Sigma Studio.

For instance, a report by applying the linked widget filter appears, as shown in the following screenshot:

To create a report with widget columns configure the additional steps in Sigma Studio:

  1. Create an app using App Designer option in Sigma Studio by selecting Classic Grid as the view type and drag and drop the columns from the data source into the column section. Refer /wiki/spaces/CTv21/pages/2160560085 for more information on creating an app.

For example, here ACC_STATEMENT app is created using ACCOUNTSTATEMENT data source in App Designer with ACCOUNT_NO and Auth_id dragged and dropped into the column section.

  2. Similarly, create a report with the same data source that is used while creating the app.

It is mandatory to select the same data source that was used while creating the App.

  3. Click the Select Filterable Columns field and select the column(s) by which the report results are to be filtered.

  4. Click a column name from the selected filterable columns and the Linked Widget Configuration window appears.

  5. Click Linked Widget lookup field and the existing apps created in Sigma Studio appears.

  6. Select the app (created in Step 1).
  7. Similarly, select a column from Linked Column and Linked Description lookup fields, where the columns of the app appear.

Click outside the pop-up window to save the Linked Widget configurations.

  8. Repeat steps 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 to link another widget to a column and its column as report filter.

    • Here, AUTH_ID column from the widget is chosen as another report filter.
