Request Modeler
The Request Modeler is a unique part of Canvas Technology framework that aims to minimize coding for creating an application or the features within it. The Request Modeler uses minimal configuration input and reduces the coding volume by identifying the re-usable codes and integrating those with the appropriate items.
The automated process in Request Modeler specifies the necessary steps to initiate, modify, approve or reject each request flowing through the application. It allows you to enable a set of workflow instructions that every request must follow through its cycle. It also specifies the actions to be taken when a request is submitted, approved or rejected.
The Request Modeler supports the following request categories:
- Transaction
- Library or data maintenance
- Service request
For CT 18.1 release, the Library requests alone are supported.
Request Modeler doesn't mandate you to use or edit the auto generated forms. It offers flexibility with respect to creating custom forms by extending its form submission sequence to the custom forms.
It also enables you to post data to a Database or Web service through auto generated forms or custom forms by means of Studio configuration.
