Designing Apps using App Designer

The App Designer enables the developer to quickly create an App with the following features:

  • Auto-population of major configurations for an app; this result in minimal clicks for App creation.
  • Data source connection brings in all the selected columns to the App Designer, which prevents the manual entry of those columns as done previously. However, SQL MAP connections require manual entries.
  • Columns can be added and their positions can be changed in the designer area by drag-and-drop.

With the App Designer, you can create single app or multi app (Composite app).

Single App

Canvas supports different types of app views, which the developer can use to provide appropriate data representation for their application. Refer the following pages to learn how to create a specific single app:

Multi App (Composite App)
