IT Checker Role

Let's assume that an IT and Operations checker user needs to approve a database connection creation request in Sigma Studio. Perform the following steps to approve a database connection creation request as an IT and Operations checker user in Sigma Studio:

1. On the home page of Sigma Studio, click the left navigation pane and select the Request Approval option.
   

   Apart from database connections, the IT and Operations checker user can either approve or reject the requests for the creation of data sources, data source aggregators, role mapping and criteria.

   
   
   
   

2. In the Activity Summary category, click the Pending tab to view the pending request.
3. Hover the mouse on the right side of the pending request and click the Approve/Reject  icon to proceed further.
   
   
   
   

4. To approve the database connection, click Approve.

   For the approval or rejection of requests, the data appears in read-only mode. 

   
   
   
   A message box appears.
   
   
   
   

5. Type your comments in the Approval Comments text field and click Submit.
   
   
   
   A confirmation message, indicating a valid approval of the database connection appears.
   
   
   
   

6. Click Ok.
