  1. Click Design Your Canvas icon on the homepage of the application.

  1. Select the layout for the workspace. The available layouts are stack, two-column, and three-column.

  1. Provide a unique name for the workspace.


The following message displays if the user tries to save the workspace without a name.

  1. Click + to add widgets.


Apps display depending on the entitlement of the end-user. Select the required apps.

Tip: Use the search bar to search for the widgets. For more information, refer Search Bar Feature.
Note: The permissible range for the number of apps within the workspace is 1 to 9. This range cannot be modified at the end-users' request. However, if you decide to increase the range, the limit can be changed in the systempreferences.properties file.

  1. Click Save to save the widgets. The following confirmation message displays. Click OK.


Note: You must also click the Save icon on the DYC homepage to create the workspace.


On clicking OK in the Confirmation message, the custom workspace displays on the DYC homepage as follows:

The custom workspace can also be accessed from the homepage of your application. For example, in the following screen shot MY CUSTOM WORKSPACE displays on the homepage of CT Modelhouse.

Note: You can change or create icons of your choice for the custom workspaces by modifying or creating CSS templates. The end-users will not be able to change the default icons for the custom workspaces.
