To execute or generate the reports, perform the following steps:

  1. Log-in to the Sigma application (e.g. Sigma) and click Information Reports workspace. In Sigma application, Information Reports workspace is displayed by default after logging in.

    The Information Reports workspace opens with Available Report Reports section on the left-hand side, which shows the list of reports created in Canvas Studio. In our example, we created the Sales Order Account Statement report in Canvas Studio.

  2. In the Available Report Reports section, click the report name.

    The Customize tab for the selected report appears on the right-hand side.

  3. Enter a name for the report in the Report Name field. For example, Sales Order Account Statement (HTMLPDF).
  4. Choose the report format from the drop-down. For example, HTMLPDF.

    The report formats in the drop-down are based on the formats chosen while creating the report in Canvas Studio. In our example, we selected and HTML and PDF CSV, DOCX, HTML, PDF, XLS, and XML formats for the Sales Order Account Statement report in Canvas Studio.


  5. Select the report size from the Select Paper Size drop-down list. By default, A4 Paper is displayed.
  6. Select the layout for the report from the Select Layout drop-down list. By default, Landscape is displayed.
  7. Specify the font size in the Font Size field. You can increase or decrease the font size by clicking the plus up or minus down arrows respectively.
  8. If you want to include serial number for the records in the report, toggle on the Serial No field. By default, serial number option is selected.
  9. Click the Select Columns drop-down and select the columns that needs to be shown on the report.

    The columns in the Select Columns drop-down are based on the columns chosen while creating the report in Canvas Studio.


    Tip

    To quickly select all the columns for the report, click the Select All () icon. To remove all the selected columncolumns, click the Remove All () icon. To select specific columns, select the checkbox adjacent to the column names as shown in the following screen shot:

  10. Click the Group By drop-down and select the column(s) by which the report results are to be grouped.
  11. Click the Sort By drop-down list and select the column(s) by which the report results are to be sorted.
  12. If suppose you want to filter the report results based on some parameters, select the filter from the Select Filter drop-down list in the Filter Criteria section.

    Note

    The columns in the Select Filter drop-down list is based on the configuration of Select Filterable Columns field while creating the report in Canvas Studio.

  13. Select the filter condition from the Select Criteria drop-down, select or specify the sub-criteria and click Add.

    The options in the Select Criteria drop-down list is based on the filter selected in the Select Filter drop-down list. A sample filter and criteria are shown in the following screen shot:

  14. To specify multiple filter criteria for the report, perform steps 12 and 13.
  15. Perform any of the following:
    • To execute the report, click Run.
      or
    • To save the report, click Save.
      or
    • To save and execute (generate) the report, click Save and Run.

      A confirmation message appears.

  16. Click OK for the confirmation message.

    If you have clicked Save and Run, the generated report appears on the Generated Reports tab.

  17. Wait till the report is generated, i.e. you must see the status as Success under the Running column. If the status is Inprogress, click the Refresh (Image RemovedImage Added) icon to reload the generated report list. Hover on the generated report, the icons to download or execute the report appears.
  18. To download the generated report, click the download (Image RemovedImage Added) icon.
  19. To execute the report again, click the execute (Image RemovedImage Added) icon.

    Note

    When you execute the report again, the report will be re-generated and the existing report file is updated.


    The following screen shot shows a sample Sales Order Account Statement report in HTML PDF format:

    Note

    The group header and group footer are displayed in the report only when Group By field is configured while saving or generating the report.
