You can easily create a web service connection in Canvas Studio with viable and feasible configurations. A web service connection is created to facilitate the process of fetching the data from a web service.

A brief overview on creating a web service connection in Canvas Studio is provided as follows:

  1. In Canvas Studio, click Create > Connection
  2. In the Create New Connection screen, select the Web Service option.
  3. Provide a unique name in the Connection Name field. 
  4. Provide the base URL of the web service in the Domain field. 
  5. Select the No Authentication option from the Authentication Type drop-down list. 
  6. Click Save to save the web service connection. 


The step-by-step procedure to create a web service connection in Canvas Studio is listed as follows:

  1. On the home page of Canvas Studio, click Create > Connection.




    The Create New Connection page appears.



  2. In the Connection Type field, select the Web Service option.



  3. Enter the REST web service address ending with a forward slash in the Domain Name field. This address is also called as the base URL.
  4. Since the entered REST Web Service doesn't have any form of authentication, select No Authentication option from the Authentication Type drop-down list.
  5. Click Save.



    A confirmation message, indicating a successful save, appears. 



  6. Click Ok
