You can download and use a demo setup of the Canvas 18.1. The demo setup will run on Tomcat server and MySQL database.
To install the demo setup, perform the following steps:
Pre-requisites:
- Windows 64-bit OS
- Java 1.7 JDK
- Access the following link:
http://172.19.29.253:8082/canvas/ - On the Canvas Studio web page, click Download Setup.
In the Demo Setup section, enter the target location for installing Canvas in the Installation Path field.
By default 'D:/Canvas' appears as the path in the field. You can use the same folder name, but not that if there is already 'D:/Canvas' folder in your system, it will be overwritten.
Click Submit.
The browser might prompt you to keep or discard the 'setdir.bat' file. Ensure to keep the file. Once the 'setdir.bat' file is downloaded, the 'install_demo_latest.zip' file will be downloaded.
- Extract 'install_demo_latest.zip' to the same folder in which the 'setdir.bat' and 'install_demo_latest.zip' were downloaded.
Run setup.exe in the extracted folder.
The setup installation might take sometime depending on the system resources.
- The application will open in Internet Explorer or Chrome (depending on the default browser setting). Alternatively, you can access Canvas Studio and ModelHouse by entering the following URLs in your browser:
- Canvas Studio URL - localhost:9071/expertctstudio
- Sample Application (Modelhouse) URL - localhost:9071/ctmodelhouse
