With the latest Canvas Technology platform, it is possible to develop and build fully native mobile apps. Native mobile apps use native UI elements that offer better performance, smooth gestures, and enhanced access to device capabilities. Canvas uses the open-source framework, React Native, to create native mobile apps.

Building native mobile apps using Canvas Technology is similar to building hybrid mobile apps. You can use the familiar workspace, sub-workspace, apps (widgets), forms, request modeler, and app shortcuts using Canvas Studio to put together your app. However, there are differences in between building native and hybrid mobile apps with respect to React Native coding using JavaScript and styling.

Canvas uses different style elements for the native mobile apps.
