Creating a Web Service Data Source

Once a web service connection is created, the data sources can be associated with it and managed accordingly.

A connection for a base URL can have many data sources pointing to various web services offered by the base URL. As mentioned earlier, the REST web services can choose to follow No Authentication, oAuth 2, or API Key industry-standard authorization mechanism for third party applications.

 
To help you understand the configuration process better, web service examples using the GET and POST HTTP methods have been provided. From Canvas point of view, the configuration in terms of applicability of fields and/or the field values can differ based on the Web service that is being configured.

To create a Web service data source within the connection, perform the following steps:
