Using Division JEXL Operator in Data Builder

Perform the following steps to use division JEXL operator in formula to create derived column in eMACH-Sigma Studio:

  1. Click Data Builder and collate data based on your requirement.
    NOTE: If you are changing an existing data aggregator that is already being used in reports, ensure that you re-configure the data aggregator in the respective reports to get the updated data columns.

  2. Click child datasource in which you need to create a derived column.
    Columns of the selected datasource appear on the right-hand side of the page.

     

  3. Click Derived Columns tab.

     

  4. Provide name for the new column in Derived Column ID field.

     

  5. Enter the formula for the column in Formula field. Here we divide the two columns.
    NOTE:
    Division – The abbreviation div or / operator can be used in derived column field in Data Builder.
    For example: CREDITS / AMOUNT or CREDITS div AMOUNT are equivalent.

     

  6. Click Save.
    Once the derived column is saved, it gets displayed on the right side.

  7. You can also delete the derived column by clicking the close icon.

     

  8. Click Save to save the data aggregator.



    In the following sample report, TOTAL is the derived column that shows the result of the division JEXL formula expression:
