Basic Configuration
To create Events in Canvas Studio, perform the following steps:
- On the home page of Canvas Studio, click Create > Event.
The Event page appears.
Event ID and Event Title are assigned automatically. You can modify the fields of Event ID and Event Title, but only numbers are permitted for Event ID, while no blank spaces and special characters should be employed for Event Title. - Select the relevant values for the drop-down lists of Product Code, Sub-Product Code and Function Code. Give unique names to the fields of Action and Event Description. Click the Event Type drop-down list and select an event, e.g. SYSTEM.
- If the event is either associated with either Front Office (FO) or Back Office (BO), click icon, adjacent to the Event Type drop-down list. A new pop-up appears. Type the Event type in the ID field, e.g. BO_LOGIN. Enter the Title as BO LOGIN and type the words of your choice in Description text field, e.g. Login Activity. The Application drop-down list comprises of two options namely, FO and BO. Once the proceedings get completed, click Create.
A confirmation message appears, indicating a successful save. - Click Ok.Â
