Configuring Charts for Simple Reports
The following screenshot shows a sample Account Statement chart report:
Refer Improve Business Reports with Charts for more information on prerequisites required for implementing charts in reports.
To create a simple report with charts as shown in the screenshot, configure the additional steps in Sigma Studio:
Click Template Designer icon while configuring the report in Sigma Studio.
The Template Designer page appears with the list of header and footer options on the left-hand side of the page and the list of layout tabs on the right-hand side of the page.The Template Designer feature is only applicable for PDF format.
- Select the type of field from the left-hand side of the page. In this example, Report Header field is selected.
- Select chart layout ( ) tab on the right-hand side of the page. A list of existing chart apps appears on this tab. Refer the App Designer part from Creating Chart Widget from Spreadsheet using Canvas Studio video on Canvas Technology Platform 19.1 Training Course for more information on creating charts.
- Drag and drop the created chart app within the design area.
- Click Save icon to save the template designer.
- Proceed with the other configurations for the report. Refer Configuring a Simple Report for more information on configuring a simple report.
