Creating Roles

You can configure roles for entitlements on the Role Mapping screen in Sigma Studio. Refer the following sections to configure a role for an entitlement in Sigma Studio:

• Creating a Role.
• Deleting a Role.

Creating a Role

To create a role for an entitlement, perform the following steps in Sigma Studio:

1. On the home page of Sigma Studio, click Manage > Role Mapping.
   
   
   
   The Role Mapping screen appears.
   
   
   
   
   
2. To create a new role, click  icon, adjacent to the Role ID drop-down list.
   
   
   
   The Role Master screen appears.
   
   
   
   
3. Enter a relevant role ID in the Role ID field, e.g. R1.
   
   
   
   
4. Enter the appropriate role name and description in the respective fields of Role Name and Role Description, e.g. Associate.
   
   
   
   

5. To save the newly created role, click Save.

   Note

   Roles cannot be modified.

   When you try to exit the Role Master screen, before saving the configured role, a warning pop-up message appears, as shown in the following screen shot:
   

   • Click Cancel, if you do not want to exit the Role Master screen.
   • Click Ok, if you want to exit the Role Master screen.

   
   
   
   

   A confirmation message appears, indicating a successful save.
   
   
   
   
6. Click Ok.

Deleting a Role

To delete a role, perform the following steps in Sigma Studio:

1. On the Role Master screen, right-click the role of your choice (e.g. R3) from the listed roles and select the Delete option to delete the chosen role.
   
   
   
   A confirmation message, indicating the deletion of the selected role, appears.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Ok.
   A toast message appears, indicating the successful deletion of the selected role.
