Generating a Pivot Report
To execute or generate the pivot reports, perform the following steps:
- Log-in to the Sigma application and click Information Reports workspace. In Sigma application, The Information Reports workspace is displayed by default after logging on to the application.
The Information Reports workspace opens with Reports section on the left-hand side, which shows the list of reports created in Sigma Studio. In our example, we created the Summary Pivot Report in Sigma Studio. - In Reports section, click the report name. In this example, Summary Pivot Report is chosen. The Customize tab for the selected report appears on the right side.
- Enter a name for the report in the Report Title field. For example: Summary Pivot Report.
- Choose the report format from the drop-down. For example: XLS.
- Click the Select Columns drop-down and select the column(s) that needs to be shown as the column level data on the report.
- Click the Group By drop-down and select the column(s) that needs to be shown as the row level data on the report.
- Click the Value Columns drop-down list and select the column(s) that needs to be shown as the value data on the report.
If suppose you want to summarize a value column, click the selected value column. The Summarize value using group function pop-up appears where you can select any function as per the requirement. For this example, Sum is chosen as the group header for Available Balance column.

- Now, perform any of the following:
To execute the report, click Run.
or
Click Save As to create a new copy for the report. Click Save As Base to save the report as a base report. - On clicking the Run option, a confirmation message appears.
- Click Ok for the confirmation message.
The generated report appears on the Generated Reports tab. - Click the download ( ) icon to download the report.
