Mapping Role to Entitlements

You can configure entitlements and map the configured entitlements to a role on the Role Mapping screen in eMACH-Sigma Studio. Refer the following sections on mapping a role to an entitlement in eMACH-Sigma Studio:

Mapping a Role to an Entitlement

To map a role to an entitlement, perform the following steps in eMACH-Sigma Studio:

  1. On the home page of eMACH-Sigma Studio, click Manage > Role Mapping.

    The Role Mapping screen appears.

  2. Click the Role ID drop-down list and choose a role ID of your choice, e.g. All. To create a new role, refer Creating Roles

On selecting a particular role from the Role drop-down list, e.g. All, the Product, Sub-Product and Function Codes which had been previously mapped to the selected role (e.g. All), will get listed in the Role Mapping screen, as shown in the following screen shot:

  3. Click the Product Code drop-down list and select a product code, e.g. OPERATIONS. To create a new product code, refer Creating Product, Sub-Product and Function Codes

  4. Click the Sub Product Code drop-down list and select the sub-product code of DELEGATION.

    Note

Based on the selection of the Product Code, the Sub-Product Code appears accordingly.

  5. Click the Function Code drop-down list and select the appropriate function code, e.g. VIEW.

    Note

The Function Code cannot be selected without selecting the Product and Sub-Product Codes.

  6. To save the newly created entitlement, click Save.

    Note

Entitlements cannot be modified or deleted.

A confirmation message appears, indicating a successful save.

  7. Click Ok.

Map Entitlement to Reports

Once the entitlements are defined, these can be mapped to the reports for enabling role-based access. Refer Configuring a Simple Report to know how to map the entitlement to a report.

Deleting an Entitlement Mapping

To delete an entitlement mapping, perform the following steps in eMACH-Sigma Studio:

  1. Click the Role ID drop-down list and select a role of your choice, e.g. All.
    1. From the list of mapped entitlements, right-click an entitlement mapping of your choice (e.g. ACCSER, ACCSER, INIT) and select the Delete Mappings option to delete the chosen entitlement mapping.
