Configuring S3 Storage Service for Reports

Prerequisites

To configure a Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) cloud-storage for reports, a connection to the Amazon S3 is necessary. To configure the Amazon S3 connection and data source, refer Connectors – Amazon S3.


To configure reports for the Amazon S3 cloud-based storage service, perform the following steps:

  1. In Sigma Studio, access the Information Report screen and configure the report with the relevant and appropriate configurations, as shown in the following screen shot:

  2. Click the Additional Info tab.



  3. Click the Publishers drop-down list and select the S3BUCKET option.



  4. Click the S3BUCKET option to select the S3 data source.



  5.  In the Select Publisher Data Source Id pop-up, click the Publisher Datasource lookup field and select the Parent S3 data source, e.g. AMAZON_S3_DS.

    For making use of the the customized S3 data source for a specific client, it is essential that the Parent S3 data source for the customized client data source should be aptly selected. The customized client S3 data source is HIGHSCORE S3 DS, whereas the Parent Data Source Id is AMAZON_S3_DS. So, it is essential that the AMAZON_S3_DS Parent Data Source is selected in the Publisher Data Source lookup field, while configuring a report in Sigma Studio.




  6. Once the report is configured with essential attributes, click Save to save the report.

     

    For sending the reports from Sigma Application to a bucket, present in the Amazon S3 cloud-based storage service, refer Sending Reports to the S3 storage service.
