Customizing FTP Connections for Clients

Sigma enables you to customize the configured FTP connection for a specific corporate client. Once you configure the FTP connection, you can then proceed to customize the FTP connection for a particular corporate client. After creating the FTP connection, perform the following steps to enable client customization for the FTP connection using Sigma Studio:

  1. Hover the mouse on the created FTP server connection and click the  icon. Proceed to select the Customize for Client option to configure a customized client connection.

    The
    Create New Connection page appears.



  2. Select the appropriate corporate client or customer from the Client lookup field, e.g. HIGHSCORE.

    You can create the corporate customers or clients in Sigma Studio by providing the necessary details of your client on the Customer creation screen. For detailed information on creating corporate customers or clients, refer Creating Corporate Customers.




  3. Enter a unique connection name in the Connection Name field, e.g. HIGHSCORE FTP CONNECTION.



  4. Provide a valid user name for the FTP connection in Username field if required. In this example, SIR18870 is given as the Username.
  5. Provide the host name of the FTP server in Hostname field. In this example, 10.11.10.13 is given as the Hostname.
  6. Enter the port number of the FTP server in Port field. In this example, 22 is given as the Port number.

  7. If required, provide the private key and key pair in the respective fields of Private Key and Key Pair to enhance the security of the customized FTP connection. You can even upload the relevant private key file using the Browse Files option for the Private Key File field for the customized FTP connection.

  8. Enter the relevant password to connect to the FTP server in the Password field.



  9. Click Submit to save the customized FTP connection.

    When you try to exit the Connection screen, before saving the customized FTP connection, a warning pop-up message appears, as shown in the following screen shot:

    • Click Cancel, if you do not want to exit the Cancel screen.
    • Click Ok, if you want to exit the Cancel screen.




    A success message appears, on creating the customized FTP connection for a corporate client, as shown in the following screenshot:



  10. Click Ok.
