Shortcut Creation

Click Create > Shortcuts. The App Shortcuts screen appears as shown in the following screenshot:

The renderer type can be selected for the 'App' shortcut type only in the App shortcuts screen and the available options are:

  • Inline Display – Redirects the user to the app within the corresponding workspace or sub workspace where the app is actually available.
  • Window – Shows the app in the pop-up window.
  • Custom– This option is for future use whereas it currently displays the fields similar to Inline display.

Workspace IdSelect the Workspace ID for which you want to create shortcut.INF_REPORT

Select the App ID for which you want to create shortcut.

Workspace Canvas NameTitle of the workspace name will be automatically fetched from the DB.

Sub Workspace IdThe Sub workspace ID associated with the above workspace ID will be automatically fetched from the DB.

Sub Workspace NameTitle of the sub workspace name will be automatically fetched from the DB.

Context Menu IdThe Context Menu ID associated with the above workspace ID.

Name of the Product Code that the Shortcut is applicable for.

Only the users of this product code can view the short cut.
CANVAS
6Sub Product CodeName of the Sub Product within the Product for which the app stands for. The users who are authorized only to this sub product can view the data in this app.CANVAS

Name of the Function Code within the Sub Product Code that the Shortcut is applicable for.

The users of this function code can only view the short cut.

Function Code is applicable for App, Form, and Context Action With App app shortcut types only.

Add Icon

This option allows you to choose an icon for an App Shortcut. 

Selected: The icon will appear. 

De-Selected: The icon will not appear. 

To select an icon for an App Shortcut, perform the following steps: 

1. Click the iconto select an icon for the App Shortcut. 



A screen, comprising of various icons appears.   




2. 
DefaultActive and Disabled are the three available options, categorized under the field, Choose icons for different state. To find an icon, type the name of the icon in the Search box to find it. You can assign separate icons for the three different states of DefaultActive and DisabledDefault indicates the default icon of the App Shortcut, whereas Active and Disabled depict the active and disabled states of the App Shortcut respectively.  



3. For customized icons, click Custom tab.   



4. Click Browse Files button to select an image from your local drive. You can even drag and drop the customized image file directly.  



5. After selecting the image, provide unique names for Class Tag and Search Tag. The Image Name gets assigned automatically. In case, if you wish to change the Image Name, then you can modify it. The name, which you provide in Search Tag, will be detrimental, when you perform a search. Use the name, provided in the Search Tag to find the customized icon.  Click Ok to upload the customized icon.  



6. For any changes or modifications, click the iconThe appearance of the icon takes the shape of the previously selected default icon. If any changes are applied, then the newly selected icon appears. 


12Add to ContainerAllows the user to add the shortcut to Form App Container.
13SubmitSubmits the configuration of shortcut.
14Save As DraftSaves the configuration of shortcut as a draft.
